NATALIE NEUGEBAUER

Program: Educational Psychology Ph.D.

Natalie is a doctoral student in the Educational Psychology program at Auburn. Her research interests encompass school choice decision making for parents of children with special needs, including charter schools, and the perceived barriers to social and educational inclusion for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her current focus is examining the impact of proneness to self-conscious emotions on the social participation of children with ASD.

TEANNA MOORE

Program: Educational Psychology Ph.D.

Teanna is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and an M.S. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation at Auburn University. She is a certified special educator and transition specialist. Her research interests, which involve using qualitative and quantitative methods, are focused on exploring factors that negatively impact marginalized students’ achievement and their capacity to transition effectively into postsecondary settings. In addition to recently presenting at the 2022 AERA Annual Meeting, she was also 1 of 2 university students selected to work on the Monitoring Evaluation Research team with the Institute for Student Achievement, a division of Educational Testing Service (ETS).

DEJA TRAMMELL

Program: Educational Psychology Ph.D.

Deja Trammell is a doctoral student in the Educational Psychology program at Auburn University. She specializes in Higher Education Administration with a focus on program development and evaluation. Her research interests incorporate culturally sustaining frameworks that inform research, teaching, and practice to improve access and inclusivity of underrepresented racial minorities in postsecondary environments. Her current focus is utilizing anti-deficit achievement framework to support the persistence of first generation African American students in higher education.

SAMANTHA ANSLEY

Program: Adult Education Ph.D.

Samantha is a doctoral student in Adult Education along with her full-time role with Auburn University. As a licensed counselor, her research interests focus on empowering others through training and program development, specifically to increase the equity and effectiveness of adult employment learning environments. Her recent conference presentations include Training for humility for the 36th Annual NCLCA Conference, The humble expert presented at the 70th Annual AAACE Conference, and she was accepted to the 37th Annual NCLCA Conference to present Serving with humility. She is pursing IRB approval for her research on cultural humility training with peer educators.

DANIEL HARRIS

Program : Educational Psychology Ph.D

Dan is an Air Force officer and doctoral student in the Educational Psychology program at Auburn. His research interests include adult learning, self-directed learning, and critical thinking.  His current research focuses on how fluid intelligence and self-directed learning influence how people interact with information online.
